September, our overnight trip to Marseille, departs Menton at 9am. We return the following evening at 6pm.

Our trip includes a light lunch upon arrival at “La Poulet Noire” which has an “Excellence” award from Triadvisor.

This will be followed by a boat trip to Chateau d’If, and a splendid 3 course dinner at the very elegant “Les Arcenaulx” on the Cours d’Estienne, situated close to our hotel.

The next morning, after breakfast, we visit “Le Coq Gourmand” a must see!! magical little curiosity shop, selling rare whiskies, fine wines, bric-a-brac and much more. I  was there yesterday and asked the owner, Claudine, to show us the cellars, which date back to the time of Louis XIV and are part of Marseille’s history. Claudine will take us on a tour, which includes wine and canapes.

Members then have time  to explore the markets etc.
