BA VISIT TO OCEANOGRAPHIC MUSEUM TO INCLUDE LUNCH

Please meet at the entrance to the museum at 10am. I will have your tickets. Your English-speaking guide will begin the tour at 10:15am

Lunch wull be served at the rooftop restaurant 12:15pm

After lunch WE WALK THE SHORT DISTANCE TO THE PRINCESS GRACE IRISH LIBRARY, WHERE PAULA, THE DIRECTOR, HAS KINDLY ARRANGED TO SHOW US A SHORT FILM, “HER NAME WAS GRACE KELLY.”

On  Princess Grace’s life behind the scenes, with family interviews and close friends from both sides of the Atlantic.

Over the years, I have twice taken members to the museum. Having received an excellent response from you to my recent query, I’m now finalizing arrangements with the Oceanographic Museum for our visit.

We meet at the entrance to the museum at 10am and have an English-speaking guide. The tour takes just under two hours.

Lunch will be served at the museum’s rooftop restaurant, La Terrasse (by the way, the rooftop is a great place to take photos as the view is spectacular).

You may be interested to know, the museum was opened in 1910 and its director for more than 30 years was Jacques Cousteau; Filmmaker, Oceanographer, Inventor and Naval Commander.

3-course lunch after the guided tour:

Pasta with Pesto

Chicken with green beans, French fries

Chocolate Mousse

¼ wine pp to include water and coffee

THE PRINCESS GRACE IRISH LIBRARY PGIL

Only a short walk from the museum, is the Princess Grace Irish Library, hosting the personal collection of Irish books and music  belonging to Princess Grace, whose family originally came from County Mayo. The library houses thousands of books, sheet music and first editions, including Ulysees.
